We’ve re-drawn the airspace for Argentina & it took us over a month of intensive work.
Our data source was the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) published by the state authorities (ANAC).
We created it in OpenAir format and loaded the results with the fabulous and powerful webtool from mygeodata.cloud

Some of the most complex and complicated areas described in the AIP were carefully studied to comply with the strict visual and instrumental rules for each zone, achieving the best design results ever registered for this region.
We defined with perfection the VFR corridors’ segments divided in several sections depending on their vertical limits.

Another work challenge was drawing the helicopter corridors for the Baires TMA, which took us a couple of days to complete.

Final design on map

During the drawing and testing, we found several imperfections when using the coordinates provided by the official AIP sections. We decided to modify them in order to give an accurate and nicer look on the map. Below you will find an example of the many we encountered.
